The GTA04 is a motherboard replacement for the Neo Freerunner or the Openmoko Neo 1973. Therefore you need such a device to install the new motherboard or some creativity to print a 3D case yourself. Or you check for a complete Letux 2804 which comes inside a used Neo Freerunner case.
New features are:
- ARM Cortex A8 processor with 1000 MHz and 512 MB RAM
- UMTS 3.75G (14 MBit/s max.)
- Integrated sensors (Barometer, Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Compass)
- optional: Camera
- USB OTG 2.0
- fits into existing Neo Freerunner case (we have some Used Neo Freerunner)
- Software maintenance: we will do our best to provide continuous software updates for kernel and user-space (e.g. Replicant, Debian etc.) for as many years as doable.
For a complete documentation, please study the System Manual.
We offer three different product options:
- GTA04A5 motherboard for DIY upgrades from latest production run.
- GTA04A4 motherboard for DIY upgrades from previous production run.
- Letux 2804: preinstalled GTA04A5 in a refurbished Openmoko GTA02 case.

Note: this is not a complete phone. You need to get a new or used Neo 1973 or Neo Freerunner unless you purchase one of the rare complete Letux 2804 units. Or you take a Case Kit plus a 3D printed or 3D cut case (see https://projects.goldelico.com/p/gta04-main/page/CaseDesign/ for proposals).
