This model is a high-end ruggedized Linux-PDA providing excellent memory capacity and expansion slots (SD, CF) for daily use as a PDA. The model SL6000L includes a built-in WiFi interface.
It is also ideally suited as a software development platform for embedded software based on the ARM processor. And that is real fun on a Linux based system!
If you prefer a Clamshell design (with more internal memory but no integrated WiFi and not as ruggedized), please have a look for the C860.
